got baby?

I am getting a bit behind in bloggin’.  Before I get more behind, wanted to share a quick preview from one of the best baby showers I have ever had the pleasure to co-host/colloborate with in a long, long time.  So fun, and what made it the best shower EVAH is that is was for my step-daughter.  Makes me misty just typing that.  (sigh) More to follow soon.  Can’t wait to share  some of the beautiful details of the day, compliments of Danielle Leopold at Dani’s Details graphic design/amazing aunt to our girl.  Every one who attended represented such a special part of her life.  Just a glorious day.  Thank you to all who attended; for those who weren’t able, you were truly missed.   I am often humbled by our blessings in life, and this was also such an occasion.

First up, a rocking’ shot of my beautiful and talented, “soon to be professional sangria sucker” niece.  I LOVE this shot.  You should have won missy.

Ha!!! I love this!

east meets west…

Balance.  Life works best when we are in balance.  Love works best when we are in balance.  I remember not long ago giving my friend a hug, wishing her warm California breezes and balmy weather as she packed up and left her life in southern California to attend college on the chilly east coast.  And with that “farewell” came a prediction.  “You know, you’re going to fall in love with some east coast boy and get married”, I surmised.  It really wasn’t much of a hypothesis.  And it didn’t take extraordinary skills to predict.  Amy is so beautiful, inside and out.  I actually felt a tad sorry for those east coast boys.  I’m certain she has broken a few hearts before meeting Matt.   She is a stunning bride….

But I digress.   Amy and Matt met the first day of college in a far away land called Connecticut.   Their friendship became love.  Perfection.  Drawn together from three thousand  miles away.   Their wedding day was no less perfection and balance.  They were married at St Joseph’s Cathedral in San Diego.  The same church Amy’s parents were married in decades before.  She planned all the details from miles away.  The day was magical.  And rather than lead you through a few images, you can preview of  glimpse of their day below….

Thank you to my assistant Craig and my second shooter Julie (her website here) for making it such a fun day.  You made all the difference in the world and I loved working with you.

Thank you Matt and Amy for including me and allowing me to tell the story of your day.  I am deeply honored each time.

absolutely beautiful and very professionally done. I couldn’t have asked for “the most perfect” pictures and memories of that ‘special day’ for Matt and Amy.
Sissel, thank you so very much. I will want a CD, or whatever of ‘all’ of the photos, please!
